Delegate Talmadge Branch represents the 45th legislative district in the Maryland House of Delegates. He has been in office since 1995 and is currently the House majority
whip. Delegate Branch is a former chairman of
the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland and a
co-founder of the Legislative Black Caucus of
Maryland's foundation. Currently, Delegate Branch
is the Chair of the Join committee on Welfare
Reform and a member of the Appropriations committee,
Special Joint committee on Pensions, Joint Audit
Committee, Rules and Executive Nominations committee
and the Spending Affordability committee. Delegate
Branch also serves on the Transportation and the
Environment subcommittee as well as the Capital
Budge and Oversight committee on Pensions.
